rear diff

am i right in thinking the rear diff on the s3, tt. gold 4motion an r32 are all the same? i need a new one for my 1.8tqs so gotta source a second hand one. does anyone know hoe bigger job this is to replace an how much im looking at for a garage to replace it if i find the parts? cheers

Never done one mate but it really can be that hard a job, after all its basically bolt off job. Of course difficulty is all relative to experience level.

yere i guess so, i was told be a local audi'/vw specialist that its around a 5 hour job but then they said they had never done one before, found a page on how to do it on an r32, im guess its very similar as its the same diff, this doesnt look a 5 hour job tho.

Cant see it being much different to when i taken my transfer box off the front, bolt on/off job, just take your time and give your self plenty of space to work within.
