First of, recently bought an audi a3 as a run around, no modding as I have this to play with.

Anyways, my audi a3 came with an rsn-e which I took out as I never used it and bought a standard double din audi chorus.

Checked the fuse in the back of the radio, and its fine, put the sat nav back in to check I hadn't blown any other fuse, and that worked fine so once again on putting the chorus in, nothing its dead.

Firstly is the quadlock the same for my old sat nav as it would be for the radio.

If so, any suggestions?

There power, no fuses but nothing comes up on the chorus.

I thought that one has to code the car to accept the chorus or the RNS-E before they will play properly. Perhaps you could try this approach? Good luck.

1st of all its a dd unit from 07 onwards which means the radio signal will be more than likely be at some point deteriorated, 2nd the reason why no power is because it requires an additional power wire to work the 07 onwards dd non rns units.
