Quick question about TBE and mapping

Sorry this question has more than likely been asked before. My S3 is currently running stage 1 with CAI only. I might be buying a full turbo back exhaust with sports cat so would I need a stage 2 map or could I run it as it is for a while as I want the clutch to last a good while longer

This depends on the age and abuse your clutch has suffered so far. It is torque that kills clutches rather than BHP. The downpipe won’t add to the torque that much in comparison to an uprated fuel pump.
If you are having a custom stage 2 you can ask the mapper to limit the torque so your clutch will last longer.

You’ll be fine with the full tbe on a stg1. You may get the engine check light but as you’re looking at running a sport cat then there may be no light.

I was running Stg2 (337/345) on stock clutch and it was fine but I don’t boost it everywhere.
