Had my headlights installed around a year ago now, a couple of months after the left headlight bulb went. Tried replacing it with a new bulb and this didn't work. I left it as my right one was still working however recently the right one has gone now.

I recently bought a new headlight complete fully working as I witnessed it off the person I bought it from.

I tried to install it the other day and once it was plugged in absolutely nothing happened when lights were turned on. I tried putting the bulb and ballast into my old headlight and that didn't work either.

The DRL and indicators are working. I was just wondering if anybody has experienced anything similair to this? I've not got access to VAG so cannot check anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

Could be wiring or a control module, nerds further investigation, try swapping headlights across to be sure.

We can look at the issue for you.

Can I try anything else as I'm not the best clued up and took me forever to change the headlight the other day? Where are you based?

We travel mate, so what's your location :)

I'm in Birmingham mate, could do with getting this sorted as I'm driving around with just fog lights atm. Also majorly falling out of love with the car too lol.

Don't fall out with the car over something so small...get Nigel (NHN) to have a look he'll get it sorted.

He was brilliant when ages ago once I thought something had gone wrong with my DSG box...turned out to be the car trying to regen the DPF.

It's just frustrating now, driving around and seeing similair A3's with fully functioning headlights. Got so many parts in my house waiting to be put on but not having VAG's is horrible. I've just got the car to how I want it and this is just ruining it. I tried to sell it today and the part exchange value was awful.

I know what you mean. I've had the most infuriating wheel wobble at motorway speeds for ages now

I've done wheel check, balancing, wishbone bushes, checked driveshafts and CV joints and I'm lost as to where to turn now. I guess patience and swapping more bits is the answer.

Let Nigel have a look at it, he has a way of making big problems small and then getting them sorted. Trust me when I thought y box had gone I properly **** myself lol

Yeah mate I will let him work his magic on it. Just want everything to be ok and for me to finally enjoy driving it again like I did when I first had it.

Little update, spoke to a local company who work with Audi's and Volkswagen. They reckon the central electric module has been damaged? They are not 100% sure as they said I need a full global scan. So I was wondering is anybody around the Birmingham/West Midlands area to perform this for me? Thanks.
