Just though I'd share with you lads the the rebuild of my front end after I had an rtc!
New rs4 style grill destroyed not even on 12 hours
Bumber ruined, bonnet fecked, right light unit and brackets broke! Airbags deployed, seatbelt pretensioner fired on passenger side even tho no one was sitting there !!!!
Airbag cracked window .....
The worst thing was it's was under 5mph and the flipping airbags went off
1st photo is after the accident !
2nd window replaced first so I could drive again cough cough
3rd Found a lovely rs6 in poole ! Wouldn't know I crashed from the rear
4th Stripped off bumber, lights, grill.
5th Just stripping it down.
6th Had to replace the manifold because it had been leaking air for a while ! Also found the the 1st injector was leaking so replaced all 4 seals!
7th All back together with new spark plugs and a cleaned throttle body.
8th New light in, new bumber ( Thank God I kept the old grill ) grill back on with fogs transferred over !
9th Bonnet off ready for new one !
10th New bonnet put on a wash to make the old girl feel better !
So bonnet is a cheap ebay one till I can spot an oem that is red and not in new castle ( If seen 3 red ones all up north , just my look ! )
Did the seatbelt today and it's all working nicely ! All that's left is to replace the dashboard airbags and ecu so that's going to be fun day!
Just though you guys would find this interesting!
