Any 5w30 that meets or exceeds VW / Audi Spec 507.00 will do fine. Castrol Edge, Quantum LongLife, Mobil, Motul, take your pick. Just make sure it meets the proper spec.
Think you can also use a 504.00 oil which tends to come in 5w40 and is only used for fixed servicing schedules, but from what I have gathered the 507.00 is a better oil. So I would stick with that and change it as per the fixed servicing schedule which is every year or 9000 miles, whatever comes first.

504.00 is not the fixed servicing oil no reason not to use it's superiority and is strictly a 5W30 but a gnats whisker away from a 40 or 5W40 ester racing oil if highly tuned and or subjected to prelonged full throttle .

My indie uses Millers; swears by it. Had no problems using it in the S4 or any of its predecessors.

That's what I get in the end Thankscastrol edge titanium all the way, change every 6000 miles
