Pedal to the Metal!!!
Hey all,
I recently took my A3 2.0TDI 140 DSG into Audi because it sounded slightly grumbly and wheezy all at the same time. Audi said they didnt really think anything was wrong however they would have a look anyway.
I was then told the Turbo had gone and they would replace it. Warranty job so all good then.
Now after about 2000 miles of it being replaced, the Turbo is starting to sound as if an air pipe has come off it and when accelerating or having cruise on it sounds like a Mitsubishi EVOs Turbo; that whoosh sound. Let me put it this way it doesnt sound right for a diesel A3.
Anyone have any ideas if this is normal as it didnt used to be like this?
It could just be that it has run in at 46k miles and it is now sounding different.
I can happily put it into Audi however would like to get some opinions before I go to audi again and tell them it sounds strange.
