I have an A5 Sportback 190 hp TFSI with DSG where I experience some annoying vibrations throughout the car by acceleration. It is especially noticeable over 90 km h. They also occur when I drive uphill. On the flat there are no problems. Having contacted Audi who admitted that they could feel the vibration but they did not know what to do about it and therefore they would not repair it. I therefore demanded the deal terminated. They refused and said I had to live with the problem. My lawyer then contacted them to demand the deal terminated. Now, Audi claims that there are no problems with the car and they have never experienced vibration in the car. So now the case is sent to court and then we have to see how it goes.
I'm incredibly disappointed with the treatment given by Audi. Is it really a way to treat its customers?

Good luck with it, I’m amazed at how they’ve treated you.

Did you find your dealer helpful at all? Only reason I say that is that I had problems with my new car a while back and dealers were actually fantastic accepting a rejection where Audi UK were refusing.

As I said good luck with and hope this comes out in your favour

I totally understand your pain too!! I had more than 2 problems which was unbelievable let say ....... when I purchased my Audi at a dealer and the so call manager refused what I requested after explaining to them how the whole process went which was diabolical, therefore I reported the issue to Audi UK and they sorted the issue out. I am surprised that Audi UK hasn't solved your problems because they are suppose to be the go to for customer like us when dealer fails to solve the issue.

Anyway good luck !

Thank you for your "good luck, boys."
I do not know anything about Audi UK's treatment of their customers, as I live in Denmark. However, many customers have the view that Audi workshops in Denmark have a very arrogant attitude towards customers complaining about their cars. There are no limits to how friendly they are when you buy the car, but if there is a problem with the car after delivery, the attitude changes.
They, like everyone else, have a customer satisfaction survey sent to customers when they have been servicing the car, but it will NEVER be sent if you have complained about the car :)

When I returned a poor satisfaction survey the treatment I received on my next visit was second to none and most certainly I had a positive experience.
Good luck with your court case, I guess the laws must be different in Denmark to that in the UK as we have rejection laws without having to involve lawers. However Audi should have a central customer service office somewhere in your country. Similar to Audi UK..

Yeah, there does seem to be a big disjoint with UK and the franchises. I think some more oversight is needed because you read so many sporadic stories of great-shocking-indifferent on here.

Best of luck with this. Shouldn't have to come to this at all.

Don't get me started haha
I think some dealership forgotten the basic principles of customer service skills and who they are representing. We buy Audi from them because of their reputations we are not buying a car from Tom and Benny car specialist we work our socks off to buy the car we want and we deserve the right customer care during the process.

They can't forget we pay their salary, and Audi head office need to be more aware of these situation and address them quickly to avoid these things from happening.

Simple. More oversight. More Audi UK mandated standards/courses. Reps going out to each dealership to confirm current and competent training. End of the day, if someone is representing your brand...your product, you should take a keen interest.

I am sure Audi will have more than enough resources to achieve this. Not taking a micky some Audi enthusiast out there might have more car knowledge than they do which really shouldn’t happen imo when selling a car to any customer.

We also have very strict consumer rights in Denmark, but if Audi thinks they do not have to comply with these laws, the only option is to involve attorneys.
Nor do they have much respect for them. My lawyer wrote to them 2 times without responding. It was only when they received the subpoena that we heard from them.

Have you obtained a independant engineers report to support your claim. Having the weight of a specialist behind you can be very useful having once taken a company to court myself...

I have, yes.
But it's more interesting to hear the mechanic who admitted that he could feel there was a problem. He must be a very dedicated employee if he wants to risk imprisonment by lying in court.

Have you this in writing or recorded somewhere? If not it's his word against yours...

Unfortunately no.

I have just been contacted by a German who has an A5 with exactly the same problem. Audi Germany also does not want to fix the fault on his car as they claim it is a known problem and therefore they do not have to fix it ???
If there are others who have the same problem, I would like to hear about it as it can help in court.

Yes if a number of you can get together and present a co-ordinated court action then that would have more clout...
