Hi guys it’ll soon be time for a new set of tyres and I don’t really like the stock rotors on mine I think it looks dated.

I really like this style but all genuine Audi ones are well over a grand so I’ve these replicas on eBay...

    Both 20”
One is 8.5j wide which is stock? But with an et 35
And the other is 9j et35.
Will they both fit without any bother?

And what tyre size do you put on 9j I’ve got 255 wide on my stock wheels

I appreciate this might have been covered previously but I’d love some advice

I’m running 9x20 et33 255/35/20 with 5mm spacers on the rear & 12mm spacers on the front & tyres are not stretched.

I don’t see ET35 as an option on that list.
    The 20” run ET45.

I’d guess the 9j will rub on inner arches unless you fit stretched tyres like 245/30/20 instead of 255/35/20, or spacers as above.

That looks spot on no rubbing issues? Have you got lowering springs?

And also did you run without spacers or did you get spacers straight away?

be wary of cheap chinese replicas on ebay - if you want something OEM look have a look at GMP wheels

@James.c I’m lowered on KW coilovers I put the spacers on straight away as the wheels sat inside the arches to much for me. I recently put 8mm spacers on the rear but they started to rub so went back to 5mm.

9j fit perfectly fine & are nowhere near the inner arches as for having to run stretched tyres look at my pics I’m running standard size for 20’s with no stretch at all.

Next question is the tyre pressure monitor on the valve will it come with it or is it somewhere else

There’s no tpms sensors on the A6 I think it’s done via the abs or a sensor on the hubs.

Also have a look at Genuine Q7 wheels rather than reps as that’s what I’ve got on mine.

Check eBay for a bargain there are always sets on there. I had the older Q7 wheels on my A4 Avant with 30 profile tyres & they never cracked or bent. Reps just don’t have the same quality as Oe rims. cheaper to start with but will probably cost you more in the long run.

    buy fake buy twice....

Replicas usually are made low quality alloy and you usually find them cracking/buckling when you hit the slightest bumps in the UK roads..

    Agreed.

Avoid reps. You can’t compromise the safety of loved ones by sub standard wheels or tyres. Don’t risk it. It’s the part of the car that’s between you and the road, keep that in mind.

totally agree, I used to work for an alloy wheel manufacturer in the UK and the Chinese copies of our wheels would have saved weight in safety areas, bits you can't see, but come back to bite you

that's why I suggested GMP as they make some great OEM style wheels and they are from Italy and fully tested

I purchased a set of wheels similar to style in the original post. They are MAM wheels made in Germany and similar to the GMP wheels they’re fully tested.

I have purchased replica wheels form CM Wheels for my previous E46 M3.

The quality seem to last much longer than OEM, with them being less susceptible to cracking like OEM wheels seem to do.

CM do a lot of lovely replica and aftermarket wheels, for great value. Depending what wheels come on the C7 we go for, I'll be going to them for a summer set.
