Morning all,

I wouldn't say that my blades drag across the screen but they are a bit noisy. They certainly don't screech but are noticeable. Is this common or does anyone have any suggestions to allieviate the noise?

Cheers, Andrew

Do they make the noise on the sweep or return? Put the arms in the service position. Using the blade as a lever bend the arm slightly so the blade is less vertical to the screen in the direction it is the noisier. It only needs a little tweak. (A trick I learned at a dealership I worked at...)

My blades squeaked a little when the car was new, but after a couple of weeks the blades seemed to bed-in and have been quiet since.

My driver side blade is missing out the bit in front of my vision at the bottom of the scree, and 'dancing/jerking' at the end of its travel. Will try cleaning the screen and the blade and see if this helps. Passenger side is perfect.

I only get this on the rear wiper. Its quiet at some points, but noisy on others. Have tried cleaning the blade and screen carefully, so going to replace the wiper blade.

Perhaps I need to be a little more patient...

Finally got back to my car and yes, the driver side wiper judders quite a bit.
It just needs bedding in I'm sure.

Mines was doing the same and after the dealer replaced the whole arm ( I already had the rubber replaced) it has been OK. I checked the a3 in the showroom and it had no play in the arm compared to mine.

My drivers side wiper arm mount seems a bit loose compared to the passenger side. Its not getting enough pressure in the middle to wipe the screen (just leaves a gap)..

Fairly sure it was OK when I first picked it up. Waiting for dealer to have it looked at (and also enable ACC menu at same time).
