Hi Guy's,
I have been a Subaru owner now for 12 years and have gone through 4 different models in that time with various modifications along the way. I have just put a deposit down on a A4 Avant S-line 2.0t Quattro to use as more of a family car with the plan to tuck the scoob away for fun/sunny days.
The thing is, I'm not used to the miles that Audi's tend to rack up.
The car in question has 89,000 miles on a 54 plate. 2 Owners the first getting regular Audi 'Long Life' services, the 2nd owner (last 2 years) shows no sign of service (no stamp). it may well of had an oil/filter change but no official record.
the cambelt has been done and the dealer has agreed to put an audi service on it.
So 2 Questions :
1. What kind of service can I expect to be done i.e what will they check and replace
2. Convince me that 89,000miles is OK, as most of my previous cars have ranged from 15,000 to 60,000 before moving on. Trying to find an A4 B7 sub 80,000 seems like a very rare thing.
Many Thanks
