New A4

I've just had a phone call from my dealer to say they now have a new A4 in the showroom and it will be on show to the public from Saturday. A demonstrator should be arriving next week.

Aberdeen Audi unveiled theirs last night. The event was for the new showroom, but they took the opportunity to show the A4 too!

I took this lady out for a spin at Oxford this morning. S-Line trim. They've done a damn good job with it. Want one!

What is the pedal offset like? Is there still a lack of room for your left peg?

Looks like I might have the A4 Avant on my shortlist to replace my current car. Has certainly grown on me.

I called in and had a look at one today. I must say I like the new almost frame rear-view mirror. I'm not that keen on the 'always there' screen preferring the fold-away version on the A6. I will be interested to see the new Avant version.

Can you hide the central screen like the other models?

If you mean does it mechanically disappear then no, however it may be possible to switch that screen off and also have something else displayed...

I can get used to the screen. Although the one I'd want looks to be a bit pricey with the usual 'must have' options.
I've decided to give it 6 months or so at least to see what problems with build quality arise. Don't want another S3 saloon on my hands.

If all goes well though, I'll have to sort a whooping great deposit to soften the monthly blow

Screen can be blanked just like the B8.

Yeah there's a separate button, very easy to do. But I don't think it looks as bad in person as it does in photos to be honest...
