MK4 springs on a a3???

Hi, can anyone tell me if the springs off a mk4 golf gti would fit a facelift 1.8t A3???

reason for asking is i know a lad who is selling lowering springs from his mk4 golf very cheap and was wondering if theyd fit straight onto the audi???

The fronts will fit, rears wont. S3 is quattro and has independent rear suspenssion.

no. they won't. S3 has IRS, mk4 has a rear beam.

isnt the golf quite a few KG heavier... if so, think about the spring rates
