I've just had a warning flash up on my dashboard saying "Max engine speed 4000rpm", the check engine warning light came on and started flashing and the whole rpm gage went red. It only came on for about 5 seconds then went off again so I didn't manage to get a pic, but I found one online similar below. I've booked it in with Audi as tbh the whole car is starting to run really rough, slamming me back into my seat with gear changes etc. but until then does anyone know what it could be? I was stationary at the time with the engine running waiting for my partner in a carpark, I've checked the engine bay but nothing seems amiss...

Sounds like an issue with the gearbox if you are getting harsh changes . Not sure if your car has a DQ200 gearbox. If it does then that's quite likely to be the issue.
