Maps SD card upgrade.

The maps sd card I have just now is a 2012. I've the chance of a 2016 sd card will it work just swaping them over?

No they need to be activated by an Audi dealer

How much dose that cost? Or do you have to buy the full thing from them?

The activation costs more than the maps. I was told it would be in the region of about £400. The maps are less than £175. They charge the full "workshop" fee for something that can take as little as 15 minutes.

Is there no 3rd parts that can do it or have audi got us bent over on this?

No one has hacked the RMC (SD card navigation) so your best option is to talk with your local Audi dealer and ask them for a price to update the maps

Unfortunatley, no one has gotten that desperate to hack it. Audi dealers are the only way
