Hi! I have narrowed this two calipers for my s3 8l weeknd track-car, so the matter is weight of the calipers. anyone knows it? Or the weight of lcr calipers? Cheers!

Of the two, I'd go with 996 calipers myself if you remove initial cost from the equation.

They have a larger, and also thicker pad, so you're getting more life from a set of pads. Being porsche calipers you also get a very good range of track pads on offer.

The LCR is quite a slimline caliper so pads don't have loads of meat from new.

Both will be fantastic with a decent pad, but 996 just pips it from my experience of owning and using both on track extensively.

Thanks for the answer and info @Prawn! Is noticiable the weight difference between the two calipers? Should i buy LCR brackets or the spacing in the caliper holes's different? Also i have found the fedoro ds2500 and ebc yellow pads cheaper for the 996 caliper (minimal, like 5 pounds haha).
