Is it possible to convert D1S to D2S bulbs?

Just bought a pair of D2S 5000k bulbs thinking they were the correct ones for my lights................ only to find D1S lurking in there

Is there a way I can still use the D2S's that I bought? I notice there aint many D1S's about on ebay and they have an igniter built in

Sorry to hear of your trouble's Russ. In short I think it can be done, I remember seeing an article somewhere. You can get converters which, erm, convert D1S to D2S providing you have all the other hardware in place. I found this on ebay USA.
