is it a 210 or a 225?

how can i tell if the s3 i want to get is the 210 or 225bhp model?

look at the engine code, as you look at the engine from the front of the car, at the bottom left corner of the head is a small ally surface sticking out from under the engine cover.

It'll have the engine code stamped on there:

APY and AMK are 210bho

BAM is 225

Both remap to the same figures, and they say theres no real difference anyway.

Or the same code is on the sticker in the spare wheel well...

The only real difference will be the car tax. £300 odd for AMK, £415 for BAM next year!!

sweet its 225 i know theres not much difference but all helps with braggin rights down the pub

the dealer said it was a 225 but i just wanted to check. cheers

Hmmmmm. Let me see. Government bails out banks, needs money. Where will they go to get it. Oh that's right, the motorist!!

There is talk at the moment about the rise in fuel duty going on now, as the price of petrol has dropped.
