Awaitind delivery of my new S5 cab, slight confusion over an iPod. Can you plug it in and control it like you can at the moment with older model Audis. Thanks

Yup!
USB in arm rest, plug it in with standard Apple cable, and control it through the MMI
I have an old 160Gb iPod and it works fine.
If you want to use your iPhone, same thing, there's 2 USB's there, and then you get CarPlay as well if you have that option. Or you can use bluetooth.

Which gen is this?

I have the 4th gen nano, doesn't work. I've tried my mates 7th gen this also doesn't work with the Apple cable
