It's personal choice really. They are pretty much the same power rating wise, but the Helix is £83 cheaper than the Sachs on Awesome GTI. That price difference could pay towards a HPFP or upgrading your map to 2+

Yes both clutches can handle extra power of stage 2+. No worries will answer what I can.

Had a day last week off so I could prepare the car for Oulton Park on 31st March.
Removed the rear seats, space saver, and parcel shelf.
The exhaust sounds fantastic on full boost, hopefully the camera will pick that up.
Fabricated my own head rest camera mount and tested fitted, very pleased with it, only cost me £13 to make. Got enough material left to make a second one too.

Managed to get two video recordings from Tuesday morning. Missed out recording some fantastic driving in the afternoon due to the battery running out.
Took it easy due to rain and wind making the track very slippy in certain areas for most of the morning, it dried out later in the day.
The handling of the S3 is second to none, the way the quattro systems grips even in the wet is unbelievable.
The only car to pass me on the day was a Ginetta race car, a few people came to look at the car (due to it looking completely stock) to compare as most others were stripped, caged cars.
They were shocked to hear it had stock suspension and brakes (which shown their weakness towards the end of the day).
Overall a top day, the car performed brilliantly, still room for improvement with uprated brakes as the stock ones started to fade after each sessions 20 mins abuse.

Sounds decent bud, camera mount works well too, you got a DSLR on there?
Thanks. Not a DSLR, just a little Panasonic Lumix TZ27. It's a camera I don't use due to phones being capable of taking a decent picture these days. It records 1080p and 720p, only downside is the battery isn't capable of recording all day. May upgrade to a GoPro next time.

Ha ha thanks. The whole day I was smiling, along with laughing at my uncles (passenger) comments most of the time.

Sorry I don't know them.

Not update this for a while as been busy sorting out my house.
After cooking a new set of OEM discs and pads at Oulton Park I upgraded them with Tarox discs and Tarox Corsa pads. Purchased and fitted a Milltek cat back to suit the Pipewerx down pipe and decat.
I did an oil and filter change in preparation for a 2500 mile European road trip, including a M5 taxi ride round the 'ring.
Rather than explain where we went I'll let the video's do the talking.

Recently bought a 206 CC 2.0 for £80 off my neighbour and replaced the clutch, wishbones, one tyre, timing belt, detailed and serviced it.
Need to get it sold as I have just purchased a TTE420 hybrid turbo for the S3, which I plan on fitting in October.
Going to get Unicorn Motorsport to do a custom map. Time to start chasing that 420bhp.

Received the TTE420 hybrid turbo from the courier. Sitting nicely on a table in my currently in progress decorated front room. Couple of parts to get then going to get it fitted mid October.

Dan, You'll love the TTE and Rick will be able to give you some good advice on supporting hardware, should see you a healthy 400bhp. It does make you smile...

Rick at Unicorn is probably the man to go to for RS4 injector programming.

They do smoke if not properly set up and he has a few tricks to deal with that.

what about HGP injectors? Heard they're pretty expensive but work spot on

i agree, i've just had mine on the dyno and made 220kw at the wheels on a pretty warm day. i appreciate these are rough figures but allowing for 35% drive train loss i reckon thats 297kw at the crank which equals 398.284 bhp according to google...

just a bit of feedback mate that you can take or leave but not sure on the benefits of running rs4 injectors if any. i also heard that the s3 controller can be re-calibrated to run the ttrs pump without shutting down when it gets hot. i'm currently running s3 injectors, ttrs pump with s3 controller (i have the ttrs controller installed but unplugged and running s3) and 155 bar fuel rail valve...

good luck with the install, its a good bit of kit...

RS4 injektors gives you more fuel headrom witouth any doubt! But S3 injektors can be enough for TTE420 power if you can make them work properly with higher fuel pressure(140-155bar). But not all old injektors tackles the extra pressure well.

I'd rather go with torquebyte pm3 controller to work with ttrs lpfp as its the most efficent way of sorting out all potencial s3 controller issues. Will be ordering one soon.

I should perhaps jump back into this. While I was with Rick having the TTE mapped in it was the S3 Injectors that finally limited me, going for RS4 injectors is the right thing to do imho. I run the standard S3 fuel pump controller, I have run some pretty severe runs on this setup really asking a lot from the pumps and by proxy the controller, never seen an issue. As i understand my situation on the standard s3 injectors i am never really going to tax the LPFP they run about 65-70% duty at present so the controller really isnt working very hard to drive them, much less than at stage 2+ with the standard fuel pump at any rate. Perhaps RS4 flows will demand more so push the controller harder? Rick could tell you, he's the guru.
I could perhaps foresee a situation if wanging down an autobahn at 140mph for a prolonged period it might start to overheat. Its all up to the individual, if your happier going with the controller do it, it certainly wont hurt and gives you that comfort we all need from time to time.

Airtec Stage 2 intercooler arrived this week and fitted today.
Massive improvement on intake temps, literally down to ambient air temp.
Manufactured to a high standard too all bolt holes fitted perfectly, radiator and aircon rad mounted with no problems.

Next to arrive CTS turbo outlet pipe, and RS4 injectors.

Exciting stuff!!! So basically if you want to go down the TTE420 route, as well as having all the usual stage 2+ gear, you also need the TTRS LPFP and RS4 (or equiv) injectors? Have I got that right?

I did see them, but didn't fancy the having injectors that cost more than the turbo itself.

I have found some Bosch injectors from a Cobalt SS that flow 30% more than the S3 ones, but a harness converter is required to use them which i cant find, and I dont fancy splicing in to my wires. Something to consider for the future though.

You also need to go stage 3 with the software, or go custom mapped.to get the most of out of the power.

About RS4 injektors. talk with the tuner that will do your software first. Many also choise to use the S3 injektors with a upprated Rail pressure relife valve like 155-165bar. So talk with tuner before you bay anything. Some newer low milage cars handels up to 440-450hp on stock LPFP. but safest will be a TTRS LPFP or a auxiliary LPFP system from eks. USPmotorsport, APR or CTS turbo.

Thats true I'm not that sure about rs4 injector unless going for big power over 420-440 so might just get 155bar fuel valve instead. TTRS lpfp is your safe bet I presume. Ordering Torqbyte controller soon so that everything stays oem without overheating/priming issues.

Highly recomend you Torqbyte PM3 amplifier. Have good experience with it, And Customer support is over the top. They have also now released a plug and play harness that makes fitting wery easy.

This is what I'm getting and they also offered me some discount so cant say no, and its much neater solution than anything else on the market atm.

Would the RS4 fuel valve not be up to the task?

Yes its up to it, with all these things they are optional you'll just make more or less power with them. I have S3 injectors and the RS4 fuel valve and made 406BHP. If I'd have had RS4 injectors I'd have probably made 426BHP+. Maybe if I ran the S3 injectors and a 155bar pressure valve I'd have made 416BHP, everything 'works' together with the right mapping its just what you want from it...

Went to Oulton Park on Friday 13th November with my friend in his Focus ST. Had an awesome day, bit wet to begin with but dried up and was clear most of the day till about 3pm.
Goodyear Eagle F1's, stock suspension and stock brake calipers, with Tarox pads and discs which performed brilliantly.
Definitely need to get some semi-slicks and stiffen up the suspension a little, maybe some poly bushes and ARB's.
