Hill Hold - Brilliant other usage

I have hill hold assist and didn't really know when I would ever bother using it but when sitting in traffic I realised it can be used for making jams that little bit easier.
If you have hill hold on when you are in a traffic jam, it automatically puts the brake on for you and then when you move off it takes it back off.
No more sitting with your foot on the brake most of the morning commute

Errmm maybe it's coz I live in flat Essex but the above is the only way I ever used it on my old A4.

I do miss it on the newer one.

Bit of a dig on a 2 week old thread, but doesn't hill-hold only hold the car for a period of time? 30 seconds or something?

My electric handbrake does that... so long as I have my seatbelt on.

yeah but the electric handbrake you have to keep putting it on and off.
With the hill hold you put it on once and it always auto activates every time you come to a standstill, so perfect on my mo
