High pitch squeak/squeal when spooling S3

Hi guys

When my my turbo initially starts spooling up under hard accelration it has a very high pithched squeak or squeal...... it seems to be getting worse the more i drive it. Any ideas of what it may be?

Is your car remapped and has it got a lot if miles on it?

If so the turbo's bearings may be getting tired.

The car is mapped with stage 1 Revo. The car only has 29k miles on it. I always let the car idle for a few minutes after hard driving so the turbo can spool down.

If it's getting worse,then obviously something is amiss.....does it smoke or burn oil?
It's not unusual for the turbo to whistle as it comes on boost,but if it's getting louder or more obvious,it may be a sign of bearing problems.

Doesn't smoke or burn oil. I know what the whistle sound is and this is not it....... Is there anyway to test for bearing problems?

Has anyone else had to replace a turbo at such low mileage?
