Help with navigation

Hi i just purchased an

2015 64 AUDI A3 1.6 TDI SE 5d​

from a dealership but when I click on navigation it comes up with the error " navigation not available". any way to fix this? or am i having to fork out more money for the navigation. every other Audi I've purchased I've never had this problem the NAV worked perfectly fine.

it also talked about an update how would I do an update? never done an update before.

It was an option to activate nav on the a3, about £3-400 at time of purchase, so not all came with nav even though they all had the button.
Think all the ones with tech pack came with nav.
What unit do you have?, could be just a missing sdcard that has the data on it.
