Hi guys after a bit of help on part numbers. I am retro fitting auto lights. I have done the auto wipers which work fine but I am getting error in auto light mode. "Switch sending implossable signals" and now found out that it may be a xenon switch which is different and have dynamic or adaptive lights. (Switch Look the same)
So has any one got hallogen lights that have had the auto function light fotted with front and rear fogs please. And is it possible for you to get me the part number of the switch.
It seems all sites seem to think everyone knows and don't say what kinda lights switches are for.
I have email retrofitting center like hazzy days etc but they won't tell me the switch part number they use. Understandable but I have turned all the stuff on and have the options in mmi. All vag com says active but the switch throws a fault.
Can any one help.on which part number switch I need please

Light switch for hallogens must have the level adjustment knob, right? Maybe 8V0941531Q is the part number for the switch.

I never even know that was another option. Which one :( 8V0941531Q or 8V0941531aj
This is driving me mad now. How are them two switches any different. But have dif part numbers.

I thought it narrowed it down to one till you threw this spanner in the works lol

Sorry for that. Lol. It seems that 8V0941531Q is on ETKA for years 2013 to 2017, but 8V0941531aj for 2016 and 2017. I'm not a specialist tho.

Thanks a good find though. Think they changed all auto has the bar lights then didnt they. That might be best info I have had on these switches.
I will lean to the q number then as mine is 2014. And that's o my 1 letter change from my original switch n. An is 2 changes. So dont really know how my theory is for that lol

I’m looking for the same switch, 8V0941531Q but can’t find it for sale in uk.
Was wondering if I could add the halogen switch range adjuster unit to different switch

The gaps are there to.add. But I would say if it's not there as standard it's not for halogen models as they are needed from factory.

And no I can't find any second hand in uk which strange. Cam get them.new.easy but why has know 1.got.any for sale from a crashed car etc. Strange

What part number did you try that was giving the error “switch sending impossible signals” sounds like I need to avoid that one

8V0941531AE
But been told basicly.avoid any that hasn't got the hight adjuster hole there ready.
Then there also some versions of hallogen that has dynamic headlights which got to avoid to

Look like I’m in the same situation as you, I used the Kufatec cable but instructions are for a Golf7. Basically the same electrics though, just debating connecting pin 2 on the light switch to C pin 16 as there is already a wire in pin 2. Instructions may as well be in Swedish.

Got fed up waiting for the correct switch to come up at a reasonable cost so thought I would try 8V0941531L and swap over the halogen height adjuster from my present switch. This worked and now have auto lights. No need to change any wires to the light switch either.
