Hi all. I’m a new first time Audi owner 2004 A3 8p 2.0tfsi Quattro and I’ve just taken the oil filler cap off and found a little white residue on the cap. Im obviously quite concerned as I know what it could mean but there’s no white on the dipstick and the temp gauge doesn’t go above 90’c. Gonna check the filler cap in a day or two to see if there’s any mayonnaise but is this something I should be worried about or just (fingers crossed) condensation in the engine. It’s only on 66,000 miles with FSH so any experiences or advice would be most welcome. Thanks in advance

Condensation, it's only on the filler cap, clean & check in a week, but weathers changing, unless notable water loss & oil down, wouldn't worry to much.

Thanks for the reply I’ll keep an eye on it
