When i attached my spoiler onto previous A3 i used double sided glazing tape and silicone.
Alot of people tend to use tiger seal as appose to the silicone. Make sure something is left on top of the spoiler until adhesive dries to minimize any gaps.
Just been pepping mine before dropping it in at the body shop.
Paint man asked if I wanted him to bolt or sikaflex it on. I didn't want holes drilling in the tailgate so have opted for sikaflex. one he put on my golf was held with sikaflex and was still in place when I sold the car 10 years later.....
As I said I've been prepping the one I bought from ebay. It's a used OEM One so I've had to remove the original bonding tape and dremmel off the mounting lugs.
Stuck mine on with Sikaflex , not budged so far .
I filled some screen wash bottles with water and used them as weights on top of a cloth , then left them overnight .
