Car is an early 2011 S4 6MT. I quickly got bored with the gear change hints/tips and disabled that (suggested gear for current use) when I found it in the car settings, but the annoying, but well intended nagging gear change messages are still being displayed on the dash panel. Now a lot of people might not find that annoying, but when you are in a tricky situation while driving, and something draws your attention back to the dash panel, I find it a bit annoying to find that I've been given another useful fuel saving tip (change gear). While scanning my car before it went in for its service, I looked through the instrument panel adaption channels and discovered that there is a location that is titled "economy messages given" and there is an option to disable them, so, my question is, before I bother to change anything, which I'm not frightened to do, will this "kill" these annoying messages from appearing on the dash panel?
