Emissions scandal

Hi,

Has anyone checked their cars on the Audi site?

My 64plate A5 which i handed back 3 days ago has come up as effected. Don't know whether i will receive a letter as its still in my name as i only sent the log book form off today.

Audi, and cutting edge tech - site doesn't work on an iPhone as requires flash.....

So far, allegedly - until future testing scandals? - only engines prior to EU 6 engines are affected by this. I think that ALL diesel owners will suffer though ultimately, as the government will inevitably use this as an excuse to:
- re-jig the current emissions tests anyway - raising the bar across the board
- hike the price of diesel fuel with more tax

All in all not good news methinks.

It is a shame to he honest and its joe public who will suffer most.

I cant see VW being the only major car manufacturer doing it. I wouldnt be surprised if more come out the wood work.
