Differences between S3 2006-2008 Rear Bumper and 2009-2012

Hi guys is there much difference between the 2006-2008 and the 2009-2012 rear bumpers?


Also does anyone have the part numbers handy for the 3dr 2009+ rear bumper, cheers

It seems once is a two piece bumper and the other is a one piece?

I thought they were both 2 piece ? unless the lower spoiler section come moulded all in one on the later one ?

Both are 2 piece... The only difference between them is the lower section with the different valance...

but i cant seem to tell as there are many different variants for that year on the catalogue. :/

2006-2008 is one piece diffuser and has a large removable towing eye cover where as 2009 onwards is two piece and the towing eye cover is alot smaller (little square).

Designs are very similar but I always think the fins on the diffuser are deeper on the 09 model which why I think it looks better.

another thing that's different is the price 06-08 is £110 and 09 onwards is £260 for both parts.

Also the earlier one doesn't have the lip extending right to the edge of the bumper where as the newer version does and looks much better!

well it depends, do you have parking sensors? does your current bumper have the rub strips?

Ok so you can't use your current bumper as you have the 1 piece bumper... the part number you need is: 8P3807303B GRU
