Need some help, I've bought a bumper, brand new still boxed, and need it collected from Ipswich and bought to me in berkshire.
DHL quoted me today, £230! Another company quoted over £150, what the f*%k is going on! The DHL man said that when he types in the dimensions of the box it tells him that the parcel will weigh 160 kilo's, no i dont think so i said, try 5 kilo's, but he wouldn't have it, ******** to you then!

Does anybody know of a cheaper option? I only wanted to spend about £40

Cant collect it myself either as its a 300 mile round trip, dont have time for that

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Hmm, I tried a company called Wheelcourier.com to have 4 wheels delivered that I sold on Ebay. Followed their instructions to the letter, but they subcontracted to DHL. Unfortunately it appears DHL have lost two of the wheels in transit. So I'm not impressed with them either at the moment. :(

Here is wheelcourier.coms page and they will do a bumper for either £25 or £40 depending on size. http://wheelcourier.com/book.html

However as I say, I am having issues so I cannot give personal recommendation at the moment. May be worth contacting them though to see what they say.

www.interparcel.com just bend the truth a little about the dimensions, ive had 2 audi s2 bumpers delivered for £10 each..... by dhl too haha iirc i said 12kg 140cm long x 40cm x 40cm high ;)

I used these guys just a couple of weeks back to have an entire front bumper and grill shipped from manchester to Surrey. I paid extra to have higher insurance and the total was £50.

Basically, play with the dimensions a little. You will find that if you err on the side of caution (try smaller dimensions) in the next stage it provides the limitations of the size and weight which are often then much larger than you need.

Try this mate http://www.shiply.com/ basically you enter details and companies then compete with each other to give you the best price. good luck!

Cheers benskin07, bought some RS4 wheels from a chap off edition 38 forum in lincolnshire, got the paisley company to pick them up and deliver to me in berkshire (180 miles away) for 32 quid!! Bargain, cheers buddy:thumbsup:

i used parcel2go.com about two weeks back. i had purchased a car seat from a brekaers in essex and wanted it delivered to the south of ireland where i live (so over seas delivery). the company i ordered from wanted an astranomical price for delivery, but contacted the above and only got charged £19.00 (€21.50 approx). And this seat weighs a LOT more than a bumper. collected friday and delivered tuesday with DHL! and you get free insurance....
