Concert Stereo Volume Control

Hi all,

When i go to turn up my stereo, the volume shoots down to 0. Then when you turn it slowly, its intermittent between gradually rising to shooting back down to 0 again.

Its also REALLY sensitive, so even one 'click' will make it shoot down.

Has anyone encountered this before or is it just a duff unit?

Annoying to say the least.

This happened with mine also. Common fault on these units apparently. Supposedly something to do with the volume control only being able to do something like 10,000 clicks or something before this happens.

Too expensive to fix to make it worthwhile also I've been told. Of course, the other problem is the £50 of stuff needed to make an aftermarket headunit work properly too. Grrrrr. Anyway, I just changed headunit,. but still have the original unit for when it sells.

Anyone know how much a replacement headunit os from the stealers?
