Clutch slave cylinder

Hi guys I have been told that the above has gone on my s3 but the gearbox has got to come off to do the job and it won't be done till Monday. So what sort of money should this cost me to have done and should it take this long.

~£750 for new clutch, DMF, slave and labour (standard parts), well that's what I paid anyway!

They dont tend to give any symptoms although a heavy pedal might be one, they just fail, and when they fail you'll have no pedal at all as it will just drop to the floor, and you'll lose brake fluid.

Think I paid £800 for new clutch, DMF, new slave cylinder, alignment, and labour at a specialist using OE parts. Cost of labour will be the big varient, where abouts are you based? Audi charge £899 for a clutch change on quattro models although this may not include slave cylinder or DMF Affordable servicing < Servicing with Audi < Owners area < Audi UK

My pedal was just sticking and not goin al the way to the top but I have not lost any fluid I thought master and myself.

An independent with OE parts (AwesomeGTI in Manchester).

That's why there quite expensive anyway.

Do you mean "they're" quite expensive anyway? If so, I don't think they are. I've paid less before and got a shoddy job from someone with less experience. They're by no means perfect but you get what you pay for.

I understand that I have been charged 380 for the job off a specialist who are all Vw Audi trained.
