Facelift Clock

Do you not play any music when you are driving?? That would make my boring drive to work even worse.

As I'm retired I don't have a boring drive to work any longer. Most of my driving is now done for pure pleasure and prefer to listen to the car or talk to my passenger if I have one.

I used to play music a lot in the car but now I prefer the quiet. When I had my Golf GTIs one of the first things I used to do was install new speakers and amplifiers as the standard kit fitted in those days was pretty rubbish. My wife always used to say "you've only had the day a few days and your ripping it apart all ready"

Sounds a bit like I use to do. I remember my first car, old Ford Escort B Reg (B735CNS). I stuck a pair of Warfdale Active Diamonds in the parcel shelf!!

I'm sure I'm not the only person that got bugged by the inability to see the clock when using cruise with the screen folded away. If you were hoping for a fix with the FL... well, you're gonna be disappointed. euuurgh.

The face lift lets you see the clock with digital speedo , when operating cruise control it only displays the set speed when you set it for a couple of seconds then reverts to the clock.

Following on from this & slightly off topic, but I often drive without the music on just to make sure nothing untoward has developed with the car. I'd rather be aware of a problem before the point of being stranded.

Are you talking standard DIS or Virtual Cockpit here? Mine is standard and didn't revert to the clock - just kept the cruise speed displayed. I'll need to check again when I'm out on a good stretch of road.

Also, I'll need to look again, but I think I seen an option to have the screen not pop up on startup.

Quite as it maybe the case that the vc is different...

Standard dis , but it is when on digital speedo ,the clock is at the bottom of the dis where you can scroll through the trip , mpg etc.

That would be perfect but as said earlier a MY16 change that I don't have.
