center console / ash tray

Hi,
First post here so I appologise if this isnt the correct forum. I have an A3 1.8T, would've liked an S3 but just couldnt afford one so I am in the process of modifying my A3.
I have managed to get hold of the piano black cover for the center console around the sterio and climate control and ash tray however I cant work out how the old cover is removed? Any advice on how this is done?

Remove the ashtray and behind it are 2 cross head screws. Undo them and I think it comes off. OR, there might be 2 more screws behind the radio.

From the dealer they are about 10 times as much I reckon for the complete set including armrests......
