Calibrate EGR valve using VCDS

Hi everyone

I recently removed my egr valve from my audi a3 8p3 and cleaned it as it was blocked with carbon and i was wondering if anyone knows how to recalibrate the egr valve using vcds.

Shouldn't need calibration, as it flips back to a default position or at least it should do, is yours electrically or vacuum controlled?

Hi

i have looked into this further and it looks like the recalibration was only needed for the older vaccum controlled EGR values hence the reason why i cant find that option on my VCDS.

Old vacuum ones for sure did not need calibration for sure.

They’re either open or closed nothing on, solenoids either diverts the air or not. No duty cycle involved therefore no calibration.
