hi i am about to swap my symphony 2 for 2+ but i have just found out that the car its come from as bose system, mine as not does it matter cheers

No all Audi HU's are identical i.e. no such thing as a Bose or non Bose one. The wiring in the car dictates whether the HU has a flat Bose EQ or a normal smiley face EQ. You'll get Bose displayed on the HU when you switch it on but this is a purely cosmetic setting via VAGCOM and does not effect the function of the HU.
so there will be no problem just wire it in, i did think that bose was just the amp and speakers nothing to do with the set will i have to do anything with this vag com thing
