Ok.

So, I admit my ignorance of this. Need some help. I have the 19" RS Wheels on my B9 S4 as some of you know. I would 'like' to replace them with 20" Audi S6 Black Edition (current) wheels. My dealer has said not to purchase from Audi as it's stupid pricey. I agree. He also said the offset was different.

I'd imagined that but usually there's some play isn't there? Can one of you fine people please advise me on this?

Thanking you

As I'd love to see these wheels on your car, i couldn't resist a spot of research this morning!
This link comparers your current wheels / tyres against the standard S6 set-up 20":-

http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=245&aspect=35&diameter=19&wheelwidth=8.5&offset=40&width2=255&aspect2=35&wheel_size=20&wheel_width=8-5&offset2=43

As can be seen from the rolling radius / speedo error, you would need to go with a 30mm profile tyre to reduce the error (no biggy really)
Also looking at the poke/ inset, you might want a 5mm spacer.

Some other useful info I found:-
http://nemiga.com/cat_spares/etka/audi/a6q/798/601910/

20” x 8.5J ‘5-twin-spoke’ design alloy wheels with 255/35 R20 tyres
8,5JX20H2 ET43
5/112

Part No. 4G9 601 025 N or M ( M or N depending on colour, think one is hyper silver the other anthracite) Looks like they retail at about £700 plus Vat...plus tyres, ouch!

This is also a useful link for Audi OEM wheels:-
http://www.robcheng.com/audiwheel/

Finally (sorry for the info overload) what about these?...do it! Make an offer :respekt:

Mate. I don't know what to say. This is why I love the forum. What a legend Out just now but gonna look into this properly at home. Man it's complex! You just helped massively. Cheers bud. I'm determined to make this work. I suspected I'd need spacers. I've heard bad stories. Or are they just from cheap spacers?

Audi were charging a grand a wheel without tyres!

Just a bit unique isn't it? I seen them on the RS3 and thought "wow".

So, looking at the links, the 'poke' you mention. Shouldn't the wheel sit more flush (outwards) than inwards? That's surprising. The eBay link is the silver ones right? Think I'd go for anthracite. Couldn't find them on the OEM link you sent. That willtheyfit website is brilliant!

As the offsets is greater with the 20" the wheel Sits 3mm closer to strut and the poke will be 3mm less, so not flush. I can't imagine 3mm will be noticeable, but I would use a hub centric 5mm space just in case been closer to the suspension is an issue, but again it's only 3mm.

The OEM site hasn't been updated since 2014, I see it has the wheels in 21s, but only 20s in silver, looking at the 21s gives you the colour codes. 8AU/K80 is titanium / polished I think

Is anyone running 20x9" OEM wheels on 255/30/20? I've got an B9 A4 S Line on stock 18"s (245/40/18) but having come from an C7 A6 Black Edition on 20" rotors, 18" just seem pathetic and 19" just doesn't do it for me. The B9 A4 is only 20cm shorter than the A6 so 20" shouldn't look too outrageous (the RS4 now gets 20" on 30 profile) but most of the photos I've seen are either 10" wide, offset too far out or lowered springs. Thanks!
