Hi all,
I need some help as I am new to the Audi Tuning scene. My A3 is a 2.0 TFSI Quattro 3dr. I am unsure on what to do firs to it! I have come across a company called AMD Technik. Are they any good? has anyone ever used them before? What is done on a Stage 1 and stage 2 etc?
May be a stupid question I know but i am usually a Honda guy as I work for them.

Thanks

If you mean AMDTuning in Lakeside, these are the people to go to in the South.

If you read my thread they've done all of the work on my car.

I can't recommend them more highly than that.

Is it the essex branch you used as they have a few.

Yes the Essex branch which was closest to me at the time but now they have 1 in amersham which is even closer. Are they good? Can you explain what each stage consists of?

I go only to AMDTuning which is strictly speaking not connected to the rest of AMDTechnik and I can't speak for them.

AMDTuning however have given me a 500+bhp everyday driver of an S3 and that speaks volumes for their abilities.

They're the ones I'd go to.

Stg1 will take an S3 to around 310-320 bhp and is a simple remap.

Stg2 will get to 340ish bhp and really requires a turbo back exhaust and CAI to get the best of

Stg2+ is the limit of a stock turbo at 360-380bhp and also requires an uprated HPFP.

Mine is a Stg4 car built by them with a bit over 500bhp.

The A3 TFSi won't go to those figures on each stage but you will still see good gains.

Speak to Ben at AMDTuning.

Yh i know I still work with vtec everyday so not to bad. Fancies something bit more grown up with turbo. But I have heard some negative stuff bout these audis

The only negative is the cost of parts.

The engine is pretty tough and more so when fully built.

Where are they based? Are their prices expensive? Was thinking of doing my DV to start with. What you think?

I'd go with a Stg1 remap first.

AMD will check your car over before doing anything to it,and will run it again after loading the software,so the existing DV would be tested in any case.

You can find all the contact details here...

I don't find them expensive, and certainly cheaper than main dealers, but a LOT more knowledgeable.
