@Dave Hedgehog I understand that, however, with the amount of technology and systems on cars these days not many go bang with a sensor or fault code being picked up.

Re above......I'm going to be pedantic as I'm an incident manager. They don't know the actual root cause. The above was the trigger of the issue. Unless you know the actual nature of the failure, root cause remains unconfirmed.
