Hi, I've got an Audi A4 B7 2006 (BRE Engine Code), Recently the Glow Plugs light came on but around the same time the car started to shake/struggle, I've since replaced the glow plugs and the light has gone away but the Shaking has gotten worse. It originally wasn't to bad but now it's at the point where the whole car is shaking at idle. The engine doesn't sound smooth instead it sounds like it's jumping. Engine Shaking and Running Rough. I've attached this video to hopefully get a better idea, I've ordered a new Vacuum Actuator as I've heard that could maybe sort the problem, Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hiya mate, similar problem with my Avant, pulled the rocker cover and the breather intake had shattered inside the head. This is a bit of an extreme example but mines an 06 with a 160k on the clock, plastic just doesn't last forever and it's a hot engine. I replaced the unit and it was fine for a couple of months but it's redeveloped a low rumble and sounds as you described like it's gasping so my next step will be checking for leaks etc...problem is how far down the rabbit hole do you go?
Yeah, Just recently replaced the Glow Plugs, Inlet Manifold and Turbo due to other issues, also replaced the N75 Valve as I was having a vacuum issue, but so far no luck with the rough idle.
Yeah I've just been reading up, i had heard the coil packs were a known issue, certainly was with mine but the more I read I'm thinking it may be the injectors now that are my current issue, seems to be running too rich and sounds terrible on start up. I'm still getting the misfire on cylinder 3 error code thrown up but I believe this is just an effect of the injectors possibly? I'm still pretty new to the Audi world so it's all good learning, though a bit more expensive than I would like!
It's an older used Audi so always expect to be digging deep into pockets on a regular basis.
Your description describes mine when the dual mass flywheel started to fail, maybe worth a look at though it might be as simple as a broken engine mount.
There is also the famously known issue with the hex drive to the oil pump, when mine started to go the first symptom was the engine bogged down a little when put into drive, it got slowly worse so I had it checked out and had it replaced.
