Hi there,

I see that I'm not the only one complaining about the unbearable noise of my car so I share my experience.

Model:
Audi A3 1.4 TFSI 8V 150 COD (Phase 1) (design 2016, purchase from Audi in early 2017, second buyer in 2022 with 40000 Km)
Color Glacier White.
Good general condition but no longer under Audi warranty.

3 months after the purchase, I notice a slight suspicious noise with the windows closed which amplifies with the windows open and becomes disturbing when you
runs along a house or a wall.
At first, during acceleration between 1800-2000rpm a noise under the hood oriented more to the right.
Secondly, on the dashboard display the change from 4 cylinders to 2 cylinders strikes me, the noise is synchronized.

The noise is easy to reproduce:
In town without cruise control, as soon as you maintain a constant acceleration the noise is heard.
On the highway, with cruise control once the speed is reached (window closed of course) the resonance is heard.

I decide to get closer to Audi in the nearest dealership.
I'm at 4 appointments made at home with diagnosis + maintenance + driving tests for an aberrant answer: it's normal.
So no failure recognition and no repair even if my car is no longer guaranteed they could have offered something.

Audi informs me that they have the same noises on the Q2 and Q3 models but that does not bother them.
On the internet I could see that the COD called ACT at Seat posed the same problem.

The post of "Audi Ashley" on this forum is really comprehensive, besides that his warranty is still valid at this time, there is an acknowledgment of the problem.

My opinion:
Audi is a brand with a certain prestige.
I don't know anyone who accepts or who appreciates driving in a car making a noise like that.
I'm quite disappointed with the brand.

I approached engine specialists so that they can find me an acceptable solution (....to be continued) even if it means changing my turbo.....
