996 rear brake setup ? yes or no??

well this is my first post,, i got my s3 about a month ago,, would like to fit a decent brake setup on the front,, are the rear 996 calipers a good choice on standard 312mm discs? as my mate has a pair of calipers in his garage,, so far read good and bad things about this set up so best speaking to people with 1st hand experience,,,

i asked this question about a month ago and everyone said no! supposed to be poop! you gotta go for the fronts from a 996.

^^^ what he said, the rear calipers are a bad choice for front brakes... there is a sticky at the top with loads of brake info..

yea, stay away from the 996 rears. i had a set but sold them without even fitting them after hearing the nightmares.

Now got 996 fronts on 330 discs and theyre incredible!
