VAG.com & DRL,s

Hi all

I have fitted some devil eye lights to my wifes A4 Cab. I do have VAG.com so was wondering if these can be permanently programmed to switch on with out putting the side light switch on.

It would be handy if i could as i have also bought some for my A3 which i will fit next week.

Some models, such as some 8P A3s, allow the fogs to be used as DRLs so you could wire them to your lights if you wanted, but then you'd lose the fog lights. AFAIK front fogs are like most thing on cars, if they're fitted then they're supposed to work.

I had a mess around earlier

If i switch to Halogen with DRL it switches both the led lights & the halogen dipped beam. This is without the switch turned on

Then i turn to sidelight & get the led sidelight & back to both when i turn the switch to dipped

All very confusing, I assumed only the led sidelights would come on with the drl enabled

Ah well , looks like a feed may be getting run in with some diodes fitted
