My 1.8tq feels hesitant around 3000rpm on WOT

I'm guessing this isn't normal, it feels like it's coming off boost or something...

I don't have any experience with turbo engines so I have no idea what it could be or if its a common problem (if it's anything)...

Any ideas?

Could be many things, your best bet is to get the car hooked up to vacom diagnsotics and have some data loging carried out.

The MAF is top of the list for being the cause, unplug it and see is she runs smoother.

Cheers Nick I'll have a play about with the MAF, also I'm planning on taking it to backdraft motorsport for a remap and I think they do a full diagnostic check as part of that, if not I'll get them to check it out.

I would be interested to hear how you get on, I have a remapped S3 but the map was done before I bought it so I don;t know who carried it out. I have a similar thing where at 3000rpm there is a very noticable flat spot.
