Dash Read Out Options

Hi Guys,
Back to the VAG fold after a few years in BMW's with a 2003 A4 3.0 V6 Q Sport.

I do not have the OBC with the buttons on the stalk. I have a permenant read out of tank range on the dash.
Is there anyway of changing this over to an alternative constant mpg for example?

Can this be done via the cars controls or by using VAG COM or Snap On diagnostic tool?

Love the car but can't help but have one eye on the tank range all the time...
