Hi guys,

This may have been posted a number of times, however i have 1 key which doesnt work, i have to unlock the car manually (key in door) and am wondering if there is a way to recode the key without paying a heafty bill from Audi?

Any ideas would be much appreciated

Thanks

The audi bill might not be as bad as you think, I had to take mine to the dealers to determine my radios code, code one key and replace two batteries, it came to about £35 i think.

Hope this helps

vag.com is the solution to having a single key. I just ordered a cable off ebay myself for the same purpose.

Otherwise you need 2 keys:

1) Place the key that you DON'T need to program in the ingnition, and turn until lights on the dash come on but don't start the engine.
2) Stick the key that you DO want to program in the drivers door lock, and lock the car.
3) Press the Unlock button once.
4) Press the unlock button then the lock button. (Now test the key)
5) Take the key out of the ignition that you put there in step one.
6) Test the new working key.

DONE.
