Where is the diagnositic port on my 1.8t ?

well finally the engine management light has come on after juddering when pressing the gas and irratic ideling at junctions giveways etc

also the abs is on is this normal ?

my mate is diagnosing it on his machine so need to know where he connects it ?

any ideas what needs replacing not feeling too rich at the moment with xmas and new year

any ideas?

it will either be in the center console so underneath the ashtray in the middle at the back under a cover witch i think where yours will be or it will be below the steering wheel in the lower dash little port there but thought you would of noticed it already if it was there

does any one know if a universal diagnostic scanner will trace my fault ???

as long as it covers vag u should be ok most do eg snap on etc but honestly i wouldnt try unless i knew it would read my ecu its not worth the risk just incase it messes it up

or the maf

sounds like a coilpack, but cant see how abs is related?

YEH I KNOW MATE weird

at the same time as the engine management came on abs came on has any one else experienced this mishap
