Key cutting and programming

is the spare key a "virgin" 1 as if i remember correctly (been here before and lost money!) if the transponder part has been used, it is pretty much useless, so whatever you paid for it the only thing that is useful is the blank blade part (however most key cutters will use their own) and the plastic case.
I went to my local audi dealer yesterday and they quoted me £200 for a coded key..... yep i had to sit down too!!! going to a local guy who hopefully will do 1 for 60 or the full 3 button remote for 130 and he has to get the codes cos i dont have em.
