right, a bit more surgery tonight. spent monday decorating a massive christmas tree with my gf and doing general real life stuff

tonight replaced the rubber hose that feeds the pas pump (right little pain, esp given the amount you have to strip away to get access)

then rebled the steering and modified my tbb so it now sits on further blah blah blah. no more fan interface and the pipes after the intercooler secure better

been for the obligatory test drive and all is well... just hope the pas system stays fluid tight from now on

aragorn, i had to remove 6mm from the tbb. now its tip top

old water pump went back today, £40 back in my pocket.

the car feels ok, its first "trip" is tomorrow up to cheshire. 220 miles each way, im praying it goes without a hiccup.

i want to put it on vagcom again, i can feel its a bit limp at the top, but that could be just part of its "diesel character"
