Help please polished alloy S3 mirrors

i bought a set of these for my a4 cab b6 the guy said they would fit and they are from his s3,
now they are slightly different in shape only a tiny bit on the outer edge they are a tiny bit more rounder not as sharp as the a4 but do not fit my a4
anyone know what year they are from so i can readvertise these
